In this lesson students will use the Khalsa Identity to understand and explore their own identity

 

Exploring Identity through Sikhi and the 5 Ks

Who are you? What makes you, you? What sets you apart from others?

Students first learn about and explore Sikhi and Sikh identity. Then, they turn to themselves and examine what makes them, them. From here, they create an identity poster that reflects on how their physical identity represents who they are.

  • How do cultural and religious symbols help one learn who they are?
