Speaker Series: Vaisakhi History in Surrey

Join Dr. Sharanjit Kaur Sandhra as she celebrates and commemorates #SikhHeritageMonth.

We will be discussing the meaning, importance, and significance of the Nagar Kirtan (Sikh procession). Sharn will highlight how the City of Surrey has become the site of one of the largest (outside of India) nagar kirtan processions during Vaisakhi in April. She will explain the significance of Vaisakhi, as well as the significance of the Sikh traditions of langar and seva. All are welcome.

Registration is free but required. Save your spot by calling 604-592-6956 or emailing museum@surrey.ca.
