Vaisakhi - Autism Awareness Day

With Guru Sahib's Kirpa, we are excited to announce the return of our special program for children in our community with autism. At this event we will create a welcoming and inclusive space for children with autism to connect with Sikhi and Sangat.

We believe that it is important to hold events like this to not only raise awareness about autism but also to create opportunities for children with autism in Sikh spaces. We hope this event will allow for young participants to be valued, heard and supported.

Our program is designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for children, but we ask that parents remain actively involved in supervising their child's participation.

Please note that our program does not offer one-to-one support, and parents should be prepared to assist their child as needed. We believe that parental involvement is essential for creating a positive experience for both children and adults. By working together, we can ensure that all participants feel supported and encouraged to learn and grow.

Our Event will run from 12-3pm and take place on April 7th in the Shaheed Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijar building. Pizza lunch will be provided. Please keep in mind that the event is exclusively for children with autism aged 6-13 years.
